Bigg's Diner: Farewell Lipa

I really wanted to pig out on my last day in Lipa so I looked for a place I haven't eaten before. Casa Marikit in Banay-banay topped the list, unfortunately I'm alone and I don't know how to go there. The truth is, I am always alone whenever I travel in and out of Metro Manila and you can't blame me if I take lame photos. There's this awkward feeling of taking snapshots of the food I eat, most especially that I'm alone and there's no one on the look out. I went to SM Lipa and Bigg's Diner immediately caught my eye.

I fell in love with the interiors of the resto, it gives you the American vintage feeling. The manager was also very nice to talk to me and start the conversation and I told her that it was me first time to eat there. The walls were full of details and on this side, you'll see Audrey Hepburn and car models over the 60's.

Coca-cola on the wall! Here's a little fact: when I was little I dreamed of working for Coca-Cola in Atlanta. And I got so ecstatic when Coca-Cola Atlanta's official Twitter account followed me. :) 

And my favorite part is this area where you'll feel like you are dining inside a train. 

Bigg's Diner offers a variety of American food: burger, pasta, chicken and breakfast to dinner meals at an affordable price! Now check out what I ordered. :) I know, the couple on the other side of the table kept looking at me in astonishment and I can read what they're thinking. How is this small girl gonna eat up everything she ordered? As what I always tell everyone, I have a crazy appetite. I am a voracious eater but my body structure does not speak on my behalf (although I am bit by bit gaining weight already).


I got the Pork Cordon Bleu (Php229) combo meal that comes with a regular drink and potpie soup. Along with the cordon bleu is the mashed potato with cheese ball. The cordon bleu was too dry but it comes perfectly with the potato and corn side dish.

Definitely a two thumbs up for the carrot cake! I like the frosting and the cinnamon and carrot taste in my mouth.

After eating up everything, the manager wished me a good luck and wanted me to go back. I'm definitely going back and try more of what they offer. I'm just happy that my last day in Lipa, Batangas was a blast. I'm finally going back to office at Rockwell in Makati. Janene's definition of happiness: FULL AND HAPPY TUMMY. x :)
