Persian Kitchen: Kababs and Ribs

No comments:

For the past days, I went back and forth to school to complete and pass my requirements so that I will be finally cleared from the university. Yes, last Sunday I fulfilled my childhood dream, that is, getting a degree in Engineering. I still can't believe that five years went so fast and I told my classmates how different Summer 2013 is going to be. For 18 years, I always had this feeling of excitement for summer because there's still June to look forward to for the opening of classes, but now, I don't know where or how things are going to be after this, since I have to face the real reality (exaggerating).

Enough with the drama. Today, I passed by SM Jaro from school and I saw this restaurant called Persian Kitchen. I am honestly new to the Middle East cuisine and I had no idea whether I'm going to regret trying it or not. But curious as I am, I just had to try it. I am so thankful to the crew of the restaurant for explaining to me, ONE BY ONE, all the foreign food I saw in the menu.

Kababs and Ribs "Persian Kitchen" is located beside UCPB, which is across Jollibee in SM Jaro.

Inside: Persian paintings and lanterns.
Kabab or Kebab simply refers to a meat that is cooked over or next to the flames in big or small cuts and served with small cuts of tomato or onion. I ordered Morgh Kabab (Php99)- boneless chicken with barbecue sauce and sesame seeds. It goes well with the butter on rice and grilled tomato.

Their main courses for Php99:
  • Kubedeh Kabab (ground meat)
  • Chenge and Kubedeh Kabab (solid cubed beef and ground beef)
  • Jojeh Kabab (chicken breast fillet)
Meal starters:
  • Naan Bread leavened and oven baked flatbread (Php12)
  • Burani (Php39)
  • Homos (Php49)
  • Mast Yogurt (Php49)
  • Ox Brain (Php50).

I also ordered this Mini Kubedeh Wrap (Php39) I did not bother to look what's inside cause it tasted so good- meat, fresh vegetables and mayonnaise. They have Kabab Wraps ranging from Php39-Php69.

After eating, I felt like I was so into this Persian food and I can't wait to go back and bring my friends with me. I actually miss doing food trips with my Packaging Engineering classmates, that's why my gadgets, whenever I open them, remind me so much of the kids I matured with. I don't know when or how we are going to see each other as a complete batch again. My Engineering batchmates are also starting to leave for Cebu for their board exam review. I am hoping for nothing but the best for us, engineers! :)
