I remembered an old colleague who almost had everything- he was at the top of his career at a young age, but he chose to leave that "everything" in order to pursue his dream. So how does one truly measure success? Is it measured by the monetary amount that goes straight in your bank account every month? Is it measured by the distance of your working environment to your comfort zone? Is it measured by the size and fame of the company where you work for? Hashtag EMO.
In times like this, I go on random walks. I walk until I find a good place to unwind. I'm so happy that I finally found time to do things like this. Just a few meters away from Robinson's Imus in Cavite is a cafe called Healthy Grounds Cafe. Included in their menu are some healthy drinks, pasta, smoothies and panini.
They open at 2PM-1AM and the interior is like the classic neat coffee shops. They also identify the healthy picks and bestseller picks in their menu. This is a Wifi Hotspot as well! :)
Pasta Bolognese (Php95) I tasted a lot of Pasta Bolognese but this one, I tell you, is one of the tastiest. The tomato sauce is not too sweet and not too sour. Their best seller for pasta is Carbonara but of course, the tomato sauce will always be my preference over white sauce. The healthy pick for pasta is Angelhair Pesto (which I think I'll try next time- all healthy meal).
Ham and Cheese Grilled Panini (Php88) This is not like those restos who has half stuffed paninis- it's fully stuffed with ham and cheese. And I don't know what's with the fries but they taste spicy and I loved it.
I tried their bestseller called Milkyway Frappe (Php130) It has caramel, chocolate and cream. I will never run out of good things to say about their food, service and the place. I checked on their Facebook page and I saw them serve Red Velvet Brownies before! Unfortunately, when I inquired about it earlier, they no longer sell it. :( I wanted to complete my red velvet series. :(
Anyway, as I was discussing on top of this post, how do you measure success? For me success is measured by the amount of commitment and passion that you pour in your craft, without dragging yourself to work every morning when you wake up. The measure for success is not definite, you define it. xx
