Sophie came to visit Cagayan de Oro today, well not entirely as a tourist but her presence is somewhat related to work and she'll be staying until tomorrow. Sophie, is a year older than us and she just graduated (BSPkgE) last April 2012. Now she works with Nestle in Makati as well. Its crazy to think that we used to just go out back in Iloilo City, and now, we go out on another side of the Philippines.
Right after work, we (together with Florence) went to Limketkai Center and looked for a place to eat. CdO is absolutely the perfect place for an extreme gastronomic experience. The Limketkai Center is one of the most visited places in the city during night time because it is definitely a haven of good and great restaurants. We showed her around the Limketkai Mall and started to stroll around. Smallville in Iloilo City is the Iloilo counterpart of Limketkai Center, for me.
The avenue for Ketkai's most loved restaurants:
Siam, Kyla's Bistro and Candy's. I only tried eating at Big Flat Bread in this area (located beside Candy's). I really want to try Kyla's Bistro because of the unusual seats but I guess it would be better to eat in groups there.
As recommended by me, we chose Sunburst. This was my third time (in one month) to eat at Sunburst because I keep on going back for their specialty, fried chicken. And believe me, they have the BEST Sinigang na Hipon (Php200) in the whole wide world. I only tasted the "sabaw" and I how I wish they can make the same recipe with pork sinigang. You just can't help but do the "mukhasim" face.
Random light inside Sunburst :)
The simple and sunny vibes from the restaurant is just relaxing, suiting for us who are stressed from work. Sunburst Fried Chicken is located at Rosario Arcade (within Limketkai Center), just across Max Restaurant at Robinson's Place CdO.
We ordered, of course, the specialty of the house- Double Drumstick (Php105) each, served with coleslaw, fries and rice.
Sweet and Sour Pork (Php170) The texture and the taste suits me. The sweet and sour sauce perfectly blended and it's healthy too. Check out: Sunburst Complete Menu
After dinner, we went to the mall and buy some pastel as Sophie's pasalubong.
And now that the internet connection is finally cooperative, I can finally sleep and publish this blogpost. I hope you had a good Monday. <3
