Mooon Cafe Surprise

I was reunited with the Engineering Debate Team once again! I love talking to this group of people and they're my favorite conversation starters because we get to discuss issues and reminisce out of this world things we did a year ago when we were still preparing for each debate matches that we had plus I admire their charm and wits. I can still remember how we visited the different institutions in the city just so we can gather information and evidences. We also had a lot of overnights and we stayed awake until morning. We experienced sleeping inside Nong Rotsen's car for 30 minutes or less just to make up for our sleepless nights (at the parking lot). And my favorite part was our eating sessions- drive thru, eat all you can, unlimited rice, fast food, food court and wherever I can think of. I can definitely say, I've been with the best debate team- the Engineering Debate Team who competed for CPU's 106th U-Day Debate Competition. I never felt alone and they never left me.

Last night, after we watched the Nursing vs CBA debate match, Nang Abigail, Herjess, Mel and I were talking at the school's big field and we had a surprise.

We had dinner at Mooon Cafe for some Mexican vibes along with Herjess' sister and her beautiful high school classmates. Mooon Cafe in Iloilo City is located at Southpoint, in between SM City Iloilo and Plazuela de Iloilo. 

 

We ordered five serves of Mexican Baby Back Ribs (Php220/serve) and the sauce blended so well with the meat.

Another specialty is this chicken they call 2WENTY 2WO (Php325), cool name right? That is because of the 22 pieces of chicken in that serve.

We also got Ham and Pineapple pizza! (thin crust)

And bottomless iced tea for each of us. Hurray!

When our drinks were served, the real surprise took place. We got struck by an earthquake and no one was expecting for it to happen. Nevertheless, no catastrophe can destroy the night and we went home, full of food and happy memories. <3
